Description
Go behind the scenes with architects and their clients to explore the challenges, processes and rewards in creating two island cabins that reflect a desire to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
James Davidson Architect, along with his clients, will share the story behind Wilson's Cottage. The project, on an island off the coast of Far North Queensland, sensitively and intelligently responds to its World Heritage-listed site.
Hugh Maguire, co-director of Maguire and Devine Architects, will explore Bruny Island Cabin with his client. The project is a small space that celebrates simple pleasures, with a cocoon-like interior that offers a calm environment with a sense of play.
